Thanks to community supporters, every child in the valley will soon be able to explore their dreams through hands-on, interactive experiences!

Like, most non-profit organizations open to the public, CMWW will rely heavily on volunteers for day-to-day operational support.

You can put your talents and time to great use for CMWW. If you value science, learning and fun and rate visitor service high on your list of priorities, this is a great place to volunteer. Are you interested in freeze-drying flowers, teaching children about salmon, Spanish, nutrition, fire safety or promoting science in hundreds of ways that leave visitors saying WOW!? If so, then we want you as a valued member of the CMWW team.

CMWW has a volunteer niche for everyone. If you cannot fulfill a monthly or weekly commitment as a regular, please consider volunteering for Special Events (held throughout the year). Or help volunteers continue making CMWW exciting by acting on a committee: Grants, Marketing, Exhibits, Events, Fund-Raising, and more.

Do you have a talent or skill you'd like to share that you don't see listed? Call us and we'll explore possibilities together.

For more information, call 509-526-PLAY to join the CMWW team. We look forward to hearing from you!

Or one shift (3.5 hours) a month for 12 months?

Here's what we need:

  • Visitor Service Assistants:
You can be the friendly person with the big smile who meets visitors' needs and makes them feel welcomed and special (weekdays and weekends). Like, most non-profit organizations open to the public, CMWW relies heavily on volunteers for day-to-day operational support.
  • Exhibit Docents:
Share your knowledge in: science, engineering, Spanish, Native American Culture, Fire Safety, Power Generation, Salmon, Nutrition, Water-shed management, Conservation, Crafts and more when you plan activities and interact with museum visitors. Or, read to children or produce a puppet show weekly or monthly.
  • Special Workshop Instructors:
If you have an interest in: Foreign Language, Nature, Science, Engineering, Theater, Crafts and more...help share your knowledge with the Valley's youngest citizens. Be trained as an instructor (or bring your own curriculum) and teach children about the important topics above. Workshops will be 1 hour, once a month. CMWW has many workshops planned but we need your help to instruct!!!
